Single Phase Track lights

Single Phase Track lights catalog

Single phase track lights are the perfect solution for flexible, modern lighting that can be adapted to any space, whether at home or in business.

In a single phase track installation, all the lights turn on at the same time, ensuring a simple and functional setup. In addition, you can direct the light precisely where you need it, highlighting decorative elements, products or specific areas of your space.

Here you will find a wide variety of designs, colours and wattages: single phase spotlights for GU10 bulbs or with integrated LED. Everything you need to create the ideal atmosphere.

What is the difference between single-phase and three-phase spotlights?+

The main difference between single-phase and three-phase track lights is that on a single-phase track, all the lights or luminaires installed on the track will switch on at the same time, as they only have one 'phase' of switching on.

On the other hand, three-phase tracks, as their name suggests, allow independent switching on in three phases. This offers greater versatility compared to single-phase tracks.

Generally, single-phase tracks, being simpler, are also cheaper.

Are single-phase track lights compatible with other tracks?+

Only spotlights compatible with this type of system can be installed on a single-phase track. However, even within a single-phase system, spotlights and tracks from different brands may not be compatible with each other, unless they share the same characteristics, such as track dimensions.

If the track and spotlights are from the same brand, there will be no compatibility issues. Therefore, we always recommend purchasing the tracks and spotlights from the same brand to ensure full compatibility.

Single-phase track spotlights are not compatible with three-phase or magnetic track systems.

What type of bulbs are compatible with single-phase track lights?+

Single-phase track lights are usually compatible with different types of bulbs and are even available with integrated LED. Below are the most common ones:

  • GU10 bulbs: These are the most common in this type of track. They are easy to install and change, and are also available in a wide variety of wattages and light colors.
  • Integrated LED: Some single-phase track lights include the integrated LED light source, allowing for designs and wattages that cannot be achieved with models designed for bulbs.
  • E27 bulbs: These are less common today and generally offer a less focused and more uniform light.

What components are needed to install a single-phase track light?+

To properly install single-phase rails, we need several essential components. Below, we detail them:

  • Rail: As its name suggests, this is the rail on which the spotlights are mounted. It is generally made of aluminium or steel and can be found in sizes of 1 or 2 metres. They are available in surface or recessed versions.
  • Power connector: For a single-phase rail to work correctly, it must be connected to the mains. This connector is placed at one end of the rail and is responsible for distributing the current along it.
  • Joints and accessories: These are the components that allow the rails to be connected to each other, either in a straight line, at an angle or in a T-shape. They also include accessories for suspending the rails from the ceiling, embedding them, among other options.
  • Spotlights or luminaires: These are the fundamental part of a single-phase rail installation. Here you can find a wide variety of spotlight designs and even suspended luminaires, making it easy to choose the option that best suits the lighting needs of your project.
